As a local Realtor, previous Trustee and lifelong resident of Cazenovia, I have a long and deep involvement with the Cazenovia community for the past 32+ years. My
decision to serve as Trustee again is based primarily on a concern over issues facingCazenovia and the surrounding area. The very sad news about the closing of
Cazenovia College is certainly near the forefront of everyone’s mind.
However, there are many other issues including the health and preservation of Cazenovia Lake, development pressure, aging infrastructure, ever increasing taxes, our aquifer and the
vitality of the Historic Business District.
I am truly honored to currently serve as the founder and Director of the Village of Cazenovia Tree Commission, Board Member and Director of Communications for the
Cazenovia Lake Association and Trustee of the Cazenovia Public Library.
In addition to my previous term on the Village Board I have served as Cazenovia Fire Chief, President of the Madison County Fire Chief’s Association, Cazenovia
Preservation Foundation Board of Directors, Town of Cazenovia Planning Board, Past President and Paul Harris Fellow for the Cazenovia Rotary Club, President of the Civic
Club, Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce Board Member and recipient of the Chairman’s Award as well as an Executive Committee Member of the Cazenovia Area Planning Project.
My passion for serving our community is largely due to the values instilled by my parents. As a fourth generation family it is of paramount importance that the charm,
character and quality of Cazenovia is preserved and enhanced now and for generations to come. I am also forever indebted to my alma mater Nazareth College. My four years there were formative and gave me confidence, direction and a launching
pad for positions of leadership.
I will actively communicate with residents and businesses to best understand their concerns and desires for our community. I welcome the opportunity to speak or meet
with any residents, businesses or neighborhoods so that their voices are heard and we can work together in a non-partisan, non-political way to preserve and protect Cazenovia.
I welcome feedback by e-mail, if preferred, and your comments will remain in confidence. My e-mail is ttait@twcny.rr.com
